She was so wonderful with children, she will be missed by many. So sorry she was taken so soon. I imagine her having a laugh with her best friend she missed so dearly.

Diane was such a kind person we use to chat on messenger from time to time. I know she touched so many people and will be missed deeply by so many especially her family. Losing my mom just over a month ago I understand how it feels. May prayers of comfort find you all in the coming days

Many fond memories of Diane with my time in the early days of the Halifax Sparklettes. Dixie Lee chicken picnic in PEI after one of the many parades, always there along with her Mum,Brenda & other Mums keeping us kids in line, literally. She routed for us girls & the few boys too, cheered us all the way, always with a proud smile on her face! It was so great to see her at the reunion a few years back. May you rest in peace Diane, you will be missed by so many.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel at Diane’s passing. Diane was always such a good friend, not only to me, but to my entire family. Especially Flynn. You were another grandmother to him and he loves and misses you so much. I know you’re safe at home now in Heaven, safe in the arms of our father. Rest now my friend. No more pain❤️

There are few people whose presence in your life leaves an indelible mark upon your heart. Diane was that person for our family.
36 years ago, our son, Kevin, was one of Diane's "kids". She opened her home and her heart to our son; showing him love, patience, humour and compassion.
You know the saying, "it takes a village to raise a child"; Diane was an integral part of our village.
Carl, Diane's legacy will forever be the many hearts she has touched, ours included.
Our deepest sympathies. May your memories bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Carl, Chris, Shelley, Madison, Adam and Brenda,
So sorry to hear the sad news of Diane's passing! I have many wonderful memories of spending time with Diane! I especially remember one visit when I was little and she took me to majorette lessons to watch. Brenda gave me a baton to twirl and I was thrilled! She was such a loving and caring aunt and I will miss her dearly! Wish I could be there to hug you in person!
All our love, Mindy, Travis and family

We were heartbroken to hear of Diane’s passing. We have such great memories of her and our baton family, traveling to competitions, and socializing with her. She was so positive and encouraging. Diane was a lot of fun and we won’t forget her sneaking in front at competitions to get the best pictures. We also shared a love of Downton Abbey, and I will cherish the Christmas ornament she gifted me last year. I will miss you my friend, and I’m a better person for having known you. Rest in peace Diane ❤️

Diane was so special to me and my family. Especially Sadie who was lucky enough to be one of "her kids" she will never be forgotten in our home or by the community.

In Loving Memory of Diane
It is with profound sadness that we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of our dear sister-in-law, Diane.
Diane embodied everything that Christmas stands for—love, joy, and togetherness. Her boundless affection for her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to cross her path was a reflection of the best of humanity.
Whether she was guiding young children and their families during her years with the majorettes or caring for countless children as their beloved babysitter, Diane touched countless lives with her warmth and generosity. Christmas, to her, was more than a holiday—it was a way of life.
Her home was the heart of Christmas Eve, where family gathered to share laughter, stories, and love. This year, we honored her memory on that special night, remembering the joy she brought to each of us. Her legacy lives on in every Christmas Nutcracker, every Elvis song, and every moment we carry her kindness forward.
Diane never spoke ill of anyone; her words and actions reflected a spirit of grace and compassion. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel, and while we mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing her love will forever shine in our hearts.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her, and may her legacy of love and Christmas joy continue to inspire us all.
Gerry, Cathy McNamara and family
