Mal and I just learned yesterday of your mom's death. I called home to see how my mom was doing and my sister, Karen, who had been talking to Gerry Tweedie shared the sad news. Bunny was a very special friend to my Mom and in their younger days, all four of our parents enjoyed each others company very much. I'm so glad Mom was able to get to Halifax and visit with your mom a few years ago. She had wanted to do that ever since Bunny moved from Douglastown and she was happy that she was able to do it. Our condolences to all members of both your families. We are so sorry for your loss. Mal and Roberta Palmer

I am sorry to learn of your mother's passing. I grew up in Douglastown and our parents were good friends and enjoyed many meals and events together. I had moved away when you were very young so you will have no memory of me but Glen and I were classmates in school and Debbie and I were friends. I have sent my condolences on to them as well. I last saw your mom when my mom came down from Douglastown to visit her a few years ago. She was as lovely as ever and they spent a few hours together talking of the good old days. I have very pleasant memories of visits at your home. Your mom was a wonderful hostess. My condolences to you and your family. Roberta Palmer

Sending thoughts and prayers your way on the passing of your Mom. Despite the many years (decades really), since I have talked with her, I have never forgotten her and her grace. And she made THE best Sugar and Molasses cookies. Your Mom and Dad were special folks and I have many fond memories of them.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am Ruby and Charlie Ayer's granddaughter. I saw your mom's obituary in the Moncton paper. I always remember Nanny speaking fondly of "Bunny and Bill". They were good friends to Nanny and Umpy and I enjoyed meeting them on a few occasions. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Bunny was a very good friend of my Mom, .Trixie. We came to regard her as part of the family, and she was always there for all our birthdays and holidays. A lovely woman, in every way. So sorry for your loss, she will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

So sorry to read about the passing of Bunny. It has been many years since I had seen her. She used to drive down to visit my late husband Rick's mother, Ruby, here in Sackville NB. And Ruby loved her visits. She always had lots of laughs when Bunny came. And they had great trips south together, Ruby and Charlie and Bunny and Bill. Lots of bridge playing on those trips. It has been awhile since the Newcastle days but Ruby considered the Vyes as very special friends so I am reflecting on the past and how ll mentioned you guys quite often! My condolences to you all and hope all your fond memories of times past will carry you through the days ahead. Sincerely, Connie Ayer (Rubys daughter in law).
