Obituary of Danny Lynn Kierstead

With broken hearts we sadly announce the passing of Danny Lynn Kierstead on June 2^nd, 2021. Loving husband to Wayne White, he passed away quietly surrounded by family and love, at the Halifax Infirmary. Danny was 67 years of age, born in Moncton, NB on April 16th, 1954. He was the son of the late Murray and Vera (Keith) Kierstead of Havelock, NB.  He is survived by his husband, Wayne White, sister, Shawna (Quentin) Bannister, brothers, Paul and Lance (Linda), sisters-in-law, Ruby Elson, Inez (Peter) Calloway, Wanda (Maurice) Newhook, Sharon (Brad) Hannson, Nyla (Keith) Pretty, and Beverly Oxford. brothers-in-law, Bruce (Debbie) White, Russel White (Joy Mercer) and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and many friends.
Danny was predeceased by sister, Misty Leigh, and brothers, Kevin and Michael.  Danny worked as a professional photographer and with corporate travel for many years. For 10 years prior to his retirement, he worked with Shannex Health Care.      If you had the pleasure to get to know Danny, you’d know his passion for painting and gardening. He took pride in everything he did, mainly his beautiful gardens. He was a kind, loving, giving, gentle spirit, he had a laugh and a smile to light up any room. He was one of the good ones and will be forever missed by all.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Danny to the QEII, Halifax Infirmary 4.1.  A celebration of Danny’s life will be held at a later date once COVID restrictions have been lifted.
