Obituary of Morton James Small
Age 71, of Halifax. Passed away September 1st at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Grand Manan, NB, he was a son of James and Lillian (Sharp) Small. He was a Beaverbrook Scholar at UNB before spending his career in the financial industry. An avid reader, he was known for his intelligence and his sense of humour.
Mort is survived by his long-time partner, Sheila McLagan; brother, Melvin (Linda); daughter, Carole (Moustapha); sons, Michael and Mark (Andrea); six grandchildren and many close friends.
Following his wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Donations in his memory can be made directly to the Halifax Public Library. Arrangements are under the care of J.
