My condolences, Heather and Wendy. Good memories of visits in Clarke's Harbour, Bridgetown and the Halifax area in more recent times - I think the last time your grandmother was visiting too.

I wish to add my condolence to Heather and Wendy and their respective families on the passing their dear mother Marjorie.In 1971, my parents, Hugh and Mary Montgomerie, purchased the Steeves family home from Marjorie.
My dad died suddenly in May 1972, but my mother lived here quite comfortably until her own death
in January 2007. She never drove a car, but was able to walk to the United Church, where she was organist,
and to town to do necessary errands. I finally met Marjorie one day when she was visiting Frances Saunders, a neighbour across the street. I gave her a tour of the house, which I now occupy: she seemed quite pleased with all the changes made over the years.To live to 89 is a great achievement: well done, Marjorie!
