Baby, I miss you so much words can’t decribe it. Everyday I have this feeling on loneliness and sadness all at once. I cherish our memories. You and I have been through so much, way more than most couples. Our relationship taught me so much about forgiveness and stregenth. Together we helped each other but you were searching for peace and I understand that. I’m so greatful for all we’ve been through even the bad times. It’s made me who I am today. You have literally taught me so much babe. I wish you could see me now. I’m doing so good, in your honour I’ll keep trying. I love you always. I’ll see you in my dreams next time you want to visit xoxoxox

Lukie-Dukie,
You and I’ve sure been through a lot together. And like me (one as hard headed as the other), I know that you were never truly satisfied with this world.
Good memories I have of playing in the back yard on Gottingen using grease buckets for goal posts. Where I would kick the soccer ball at you, like coming out of a canon, off my steel toed boot. Other times you cracking up laughing while chasing the foot ball, with all its goofy bounces.
Then there was the cottage, with you and Zack. You guys canoeing and camping on the island, picking up leeches, throwing each other off the raft. And much as I tried to correct your grammar, you would continue to enjoy throwing those “I don’t got no’s” back at me just for amusement. When you were very young, you would say that you went to the “liberary.” We would go get a movie at “Video R Different” on Quinpool. And in case you needed help, there was the “minstruction book”.
Your love of creatures was a constant, with all the different cats, dogs and the turtle we had. That weird prehistoric, creepy crawly that sat in a jar by the kitchen table, that would hatch and mutate and be perfectly hideous.
The last time I saw you was in the summer at Mishoo’s when we hugged. Your hug told me that you were afraid, and that you loved me. I had hopes that you would find your way off the dark path. But it was not to be.
Where ever you are, I pray that you find the peace that eluded you here.
Love you Lukie.

So very sorry to hear of this terrible loss of a young life. I'll always remember Luke as that kinda goofy and loving little kid that Amelia hung around with when they were young. My heartfelt condolences to you, Sheila, and all of Luke's family.

Sending my love to the family, I'm so incredibly sorry. Even though many years have passed, I'll always remember Luke as the kind, sweet kid I used to play with when we were young. Shelia, you are like a second mom to me, I love you all so much. Rest easy Lukie, you will be missed greatly.

Oh my gosh Sheila and family. I am stunned and so, so sorry for you all. Since I just don't know what else to say to ease your pain, I will just share a favourite memory of Luke and why I picture him every time I hear this. Luke was between 2 and 3 and was visiting Kath's place, and Tuesday was laying in front of the stove. Kath said something like, "She be a hot dog" and he looked at her and then at Tuesday and he laughed and laughed and got the joke. He was so young that Kath said, "I think that's his first joke" and now anytime I look at my dog Braedy or any dog and they're hot, I think - there be a hotdog and I see that sweet little boy. Love to you all, Elizabeth.
