Obituary of Richard Charles "Sonny" Clements

74, Hatchett Lake. In memory of a loving dad, husband and brother, Richard C. Clements who passed away May 25, 2010, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, at the age of 74. Born in Halifax on May 15, 1936, he was a son of the late Walter and Rose (McCready) Clements. Richard was hard-working and giving and will be missed by his wife, Gladys (Ware); daughter, Deanne Clements (Richard), Eastern Passage; sisters, Doris Carr, Hatchett Lake; Shirley LePage and Marleen Breen, both of Bridgewater; brother, Bobbie, Eastern Passage; stepsister, Shirley Boutilier, Cape Breton; stepbrother, Joseph Hudder, Terence Bay; sister-in-law, Winnifred Francis (Luke), Hatchett Lake; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Douglas and stepbrother, Edward Mahar. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) where visitation will be held Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Shad Bay. Interment to follow in Sunrise Park Cemetery, Prospect Road. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Wish Foundation.
