Obituary of Cecilia Stay

Stay, Cecilia M. (nee Craig): Halifax, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Glades Lodge Nursing Home. Born in Somerville, MA, she was a daughter of the late Earl A. and Frances E. (Purcell) Craig. Throughout her working career, Cecilia had worked for the Hudson Company and later at the Bank of Commerce. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen, Halifax. Cecilia was predeceased by her husband, Harvey, and two brothers, Edward and Earl. Arrangements are under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 11 am from St. Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church, Bayers Road, Halifax, with Fr. Roberto Donato as celebrant. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bide-A-While Animal Shelter or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
