Obituary of Evelyn Thompson

Thompson, Evelyn Annie - Halifax, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Rossway, Digby Co., she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Gavel) Woodworth. Evelyn was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was a proud member of Full Gospel Church. She will be remembered for always helping and looking after others, as she did anything she could for anyone. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by her husband, Robert William Thompson; her only son, Robert “Bob” (Melinda Kelly), grandchildren, Ryan Thompson and Brittany Kelly; nephews, Brian and Andre Rocheleau, and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Rocheleau and Marion Mae in infancy. Resting at J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11 AM from Full Gospel Church, Kearney Lake Road, Halifax, with Pastor Gary Barrett as officiating clergy. A reception will follow the service at the church. Burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan would be appreciated by the family.
