Obituary of Leonard McKeigan

MCKEIGAN, James Leonard … 62, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009, in the QEII Health Sciences Center. Born in Sydney Mines, he moved to Halifax 42 years ago. He was the son of the late Amy (McKeigan) Marryatt. Leonard enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by brother, Ellis "Dale" (Priscilla) McKeigan and their sons David and Wayne. He was predeceased by his mother and step-father, Harold Marryatt. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13 from 1:30 … 3 PM with a service of remembrance to follow at 3 PM from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Dianna Brett-Frye officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Park Interfaith Cemetery.
