Obituary of Vincent "Scott" Dorey

DOREY, Vincent “Scott” … 87, Halifax, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009 in the transitional care unit of the VG site, QEII. Born April 14, 1922, he was a son of the late Franklin and Nita (Taggert) Dorey. He is survived by his wife, Viola Dorey; son, Wayne (Lolita) Dorey; sisters, Peggy Dorey and Shirley Pynn-Dorey; brother, Franklin Jr. Dorey, all of Halifax. He was predeceased by brother, Doug Dorey. The family would like to thank the staff of the QEII 7th floor, doctors and nurses; the transitional care unit of the VG 4A and 4B, as well as the VON for all of their personal care and support. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601). By request there will be no visitation or service at this time. Donations in Scott’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
