Obituary of Shirley McDow

MCDOW, Shirley Frances May:-79, Halifax passed away November 20,2009 in the Arbourstone Enhanced Care, Halifax. She was a daughter of the late James and Ida (Pollock) McDow. She had been a member of St. Paul’s United Church and worked as a book keeper with Moirs Chocolates and Thornhill Construction. Shirley is survived by sister Alice Strum, Halifax; special nephew Gary (Betty) McDow, Halifax and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Roy and Ronnie; sisters Bessie Julien, Marion Slaunwhite, and Joan Richards. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601) where visitation will be held Tuesday 12-2 p.m. with memorial service to follow at 2 p.m..
