Obituary of Annie Dobbin

DOBBIN, Annie — 82, Spryfield, passed away on September 11, 2009, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Canso, she was the daughter of the late James and Johanna Markey (Halifax). She is survived by her brothers, John (Leonia) Markey; Dartmouth; sons, Richard (Nora) Newell, Kevin (Elizabeth) Newell, Spryfield; Calvin McKenzie, Spryfield; daughters, Mary Chaisson, Dartmouth; Johanna (David) Al Molkey, Elmsdale; Constance (Cecile) Mayo, Spryfield; Lucinda (Joel) Stevenson, Florida, USA; Susan Dobbin, Spryfield. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Ann is predeceased by her husband, James Dobbin; brother, Calvin; sisters, Genesta, Marian and Mary. Ann worked at The Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax. She was known for being kind and charitable by the people in her community. A celebration of her life will be held in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home Chapel, 149 Herring Cove Rd. Halifax, NS on Tuesday, September 15 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date.
