Obituary of Norman Bassett

Bassett, Norman C.: Halifax, 75, passed away on August 17, 2009 at the QEII, Halifax, NS. He was the son of the late Marion (Stewert) and Harold Bassett. Norman was employed by the Halifax Herald for 25 years. He enjoyed his retirement and his favorite pastime was mackerel fishing. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Alice (Sullivan), son, Norman Jr., granddaughter, Lisa, daughter-in-law, Doreen, as well as brothers, Harry, Bobby, Bernie, Danny, and Trevor, and sisters, Gloria, Cathy, and Bernadette. He was predeceased by two sisters, Delores DeWolf and Lorraine Pottie, and a brother, Charles McClean. Cremation has taken place under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (902) 477.5601. There will be no visitation or service.
