Obituary of Larry Hughes

HUGHES, Larry Duncan … 53, Halifax passed away on Friday, July 10, 2009 in the QEII, Health Sciences Center. Born in Sheet Harbour, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Marjorie (Laybolt) Hughes. Larry worked for many years as a salesman and most recently ran his own courier business. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed skiing, kayaking and any other outdoor activity. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by son, Jeffery Hughes; sisters, Debbie (Colin), Janet and Patricia; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Diane, Louise, Daryl, Walter, Donnie and everyone who loved him in his second family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of J. A. Walker Funeral home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where a memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 7 PM, with Rev. Diana Brett-Frye officiating. The family would appreciate remembrances in memory of Larry to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
