Obituary of Hilda Hamm

Hamm, Hilda Edith - 83, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2009, in QEII Health Sciences Centre with her loving family by her side. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Myrtle (Nicholson) Landry. Hilda will be sadly missed by brothers, Harold Landry (Millie), Five Island Lake; Roy Landry (Beatty), Terence Bay; sister, Marie Jollimore, Stewiacke and many nieces and nephews, especially her niece, Kathy (Eddy) Bates, Stewiacke. She was predeceased by husband, Lorne, as well as her companion, Mikal; sisters, Pearlie Young, Gladys; a brother in infancy; brothers-in-law, Byron Jollimore, Joe Young; sister-in-law, Lena Landry.She will be sadly missed by her special friends who she would meet at the Halifax Shopping Centre for "coffee meetings".The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Linda and Emma. Arrangements are under the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Halifax, NS (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. A reception will be held on Friday, April 17, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. in the chapel, Rev. Patricia Malin officiating. Burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
