Obituary of Rosie Borden

Borden, Rosie Doris “Rose” - 75, Mount Uniacke passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Irving and Rose (Peters) Brown. Rose will be sadly missed by sons, Joseph (Carolann)., Fort McMurray, Alta; James (Linda) Rawdon, daughters Paula (David)Porter’s Lake, Dale(Ronald) Fort McMurray, Shelly(Timothy) Rawdon, 11grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Irving (Vivian); Frank, both of Halifax,; sisters, Cassie, Halifax,; Ruth (Gerald),Sackville, Laura, Halifax; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James; brother, Kenneth and sister, Evelyn. She was also predeceased by her dog, Blackie. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care Program of Colchester for their care and compassion. Arrangements are under the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd; 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18 from and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on February 19 at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
