Obituary of Mary "Jane" Gilkie

GILKIE, Mary "Jane" - 61, Spryfield, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Surrey, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Alexander) MacKenzie. Known as Jane, she worked as an LPN for over 32 years, and had many friends in the field. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by family and many friends. She is survived by her husband, Leonard, Spryfield; daughter, Amanda Gilkie (Garry Stevens), Edmonton, Alta.; grandson, Vaughn; brother, John MacKenzie, Pickering, Ont. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the QEII Health Sciences Centre, for their compassionate care and support. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, (477-5601). By request there will be no visitation or service at this time.
