Obituary of Edna Crooks
Crooks, Edna Grace - 95, of Seabright, passed away Sunday, January 4th, 2009 in the QEII health Sciences Centre, Surrounded by her loving family. Edna was born on August 31, 1913 to the late Eugene Nash and Ivy E. (Garrison). She was a sunday school teacher for many years and a member of the St. Peter’s Anglican Church and a member of the Tuesday Evening Group for 40 years. Edna is survived by her son Ray (Debbie) Crooks of Seabright. Grandchildren Brian (Bonnie), Jennifer (Patrick) Pilgrim; five great-grandchildren. Brother George Nash of Windsor, and sisters Elleen Sudall of Halifax, Marjorie Hubley of Ontario, Jean Kaufman, Anchorage, Alaska; best friend Carol Wamboldt. She was predeceased by her husband Edgar W. Crooks. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd, 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, (477-5601). By request there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 7th 2009 at 2pm in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Glen Margaret. Interment will take place in the church cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edna’s memory may be made to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the MS association of Nova Scotia.
