Obituary of Margaret Hilson

Hilson, Margaret:  Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Halifax on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in her 87th year.  Dearly beloved wife of the late Andrew Hilson, much loved mother of Sandra Douglas (Greg Douglas) and Andrea Hilson (Andrew Warkentin), cherished "mommish" to Scott Douglas (Kimberley), Christopher Douglas (Kristen), and the late Corey Douglas and Drew Warkentin.  Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team, VON, and EHS paramedics in Halifax.  A memorial celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11 AM at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery, 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, ON.  A memorial gathering will also be held in Ottawa, on December 4, 2016 at 2 PM at Margaret’s former residence, in the basement social room of 1485 Baseline Road.  In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canadian Cancer Society or the VON.  Words of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.walkerfh.com
