Obituary of Verna Gallagher

Gallagher, Verna Inez- 95, passed away at the VG Hospital on Sunday, October 12, 2008. Born in Sambro, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence (Gray) McPhee, and was the last surviving member of her family. She was a member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Ketch Harbour, and of late St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Halifax. She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth (Francis), Kingston, NS; William (Georgina), Dartmouth; three granddaughters, Cathy, Debbie and Kimberly, one great granddaughter, Jennifer. Verna was predeceased by her husband Fred, three sisters, Kathleen Brown, Cara Gilkie, Lola McPhee, two brothers, James and Harold. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (902.477.5601). A graveside service will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Ketch Harbour, NS, on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 4:30 PM.
