Obituary of Hazel Kidson
KIDSON, Hazel Florence: 85, Halifax, wife of the late Raymond G. “Tucker” Kidson, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Melville Lodge, Spryfield, NS. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Lee. In her youth, Hazel had worked on CN Rail from Halifax to Truro. She then married and dedicated her life to raising her children. Family meant the world to Hazel and will fondly be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Hazel is survived by five sons, Ron (Charlene), Herring Cove, Eric (Judy), Wellington, Robert (Susan), Wellington, Stephen (Lou), Wellington, and Larry (Cathy), Halifax, her daughter, Joanne Hinds (Greg), Halifax, granddaughters, Alicia, Ashley, Jennifer, and Danielle, grandsons, Adam and Michael, her great-grandson, Tristan Keith, two nieces, Diane and Nancy, and a nephew, Raymond. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Raymond “Tucker”, brother, Murray (Rita) Lee, and a precious grandson, Ryan.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8 and Saturday from 9:30- 11 AM. The memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11 AM, with Rev. Patricia Malin as clergy. Interment will take place at St. John’s Cemetery, Halifax, NS.
