Obituary of Tina M. Gray

GRAY, Tina Marie … 42, Halifax. It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the loss of heaven’s treasure, our beloved daughter, Tina Marie (Foster) Gray. She passed on August 25, 2008 at age 42 after a brave battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones, at QEII Health Sciences Centre, VG Site. She is the daughter of Margaret “Peggy” (Drake) Bowser and her proud step-father, Art Bowser, and father, Thomas Foster, and her proud step-mother, Michelle (Giroux) Foster. Tina was employed as the Assistant Manager of the Sears Outlet Store. She loved her job and the people she worked with. She once said, “God is opening a Sears Store in Heaven and He wants me to manage it,” and we all laughed. Tina loved animals and loved to volunteer at the Spryfield Boys and Girls Club and the Spryfield Lion’s Club. She also loved bingo and a good card game. Her greatest joy was her family, friends and extended family. Tina had a big heart and was always there to help anyone. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She will always be with us in our hearts. Tina leaves behind two daughters, Ashley, 18 at home and Jessica, 17, Sackville, her mother, Peggy and step-father, Art, her father, Thomas and step-mother, Michelle. She is also survived by brothers, Michael, Halifax; and Thomas (Kim), as well as four nephews, Amherst. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 10 AM from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, with Fr. Robert Floyd as celebrating clergy. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Tina’s memory may be made to the Spryfield Boy’s and Girl’s Club. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the doctors and nurses on 5A and 8A at the Victoria General Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Tina.
