Obituary of Daisy Cochrane

COCHRANE, Daisy Leola - 100, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2008, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born on June 16, 1908, in Nineveh, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Craswell and Clara May (Johnson) Lohnes. Daisy had been struggling with ill health for some time but had always maintained her good nature and sense of humour. She will be missed by many. She is survived by son, Byron (Dale) Veinot; grandchildren, Coral and Tony; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Cavell Veinot Hempford and Marion "Dolly" Campbell. She was predeceased by husband, Stanley Cochrane; son, Warren in infancy; brother, Henry; sisters, Mildred, Glennie, and Doris. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, from 6-8 p.m., and where memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 10, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev.
