Obituary of John McCaul

McCAUL, John William - 78, Halifax, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at home. Born in Lower South River, Antigonish Co., he was a son of the late Walter and Rose (Nelson) McCaul. John was employed by the V.G. Hospital for 35 years as a Maintenance Supervisor in the Dietary Department. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary "Theresa" (Landry); daughters, Carmel McCaul and Sandra (Doug) Randall; grandchildren, Laura, Craig, Jennifer (Brad) Beaver, and Krista; two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter, Matilda Ann; two brothers and two sisters. Special thanks to the paramedics and fire department who worked so hard to try to revive John. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601). By request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 10, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
