Obituary of Ossie Klaus
Klaus, Ossie Ellen: Halifax. In loving memory of Ossie, 77 who died peacefully surrounded by her family on May 30, 2008 at the QEII Health Sciences Center Halifax, Nova Scotia. Born in Chemnitz, Germany she was the daughter of the late Herta Bohm and Ludwig Gmeiner. After WWII, she bravely immigrated to Canada through Pier 21 in Halifax and soon after met and married her German- born husband Arnold Klaus in Montreal. A year later they returned to Halifax where Ossie created a loving home and became an avid gardener. Ossie loved her garden and loved to share her green thumb with friends and family. She dearly loved her children and was a very caring grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold. She is survived by her sons Stephen, his wife Wendy (Terris) and their sons Joel and Jared; Dartmouth and by Brian, his wife Natalie (Foley) and their daughters Jacqueline and Jennifer; Halifax.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, NS, where visitation will be on Monday from 7-9. A Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 11:00am from the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow in St Paul’s Cemetery, Herring Cove.
