Obituary of Rita Egan

EGAN, Rita May … 103, East Gore, formerly of Spryfield passed away at home on May 17, 2008. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Maggie (Oxner) Thomas. Rita was a member of St. Paul’s United Church as well as the U.C.W. She was a life member of Topaz Rebekah Lodge No. 125, Spryfield. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her husband Frank and eleven siblings. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601) where visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at 11 AM from the chapel with Rev. Jeanne Manning-Stright officiating. Interment to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
