Obituary of Lee Ann Christopher-Astley

CHRISTOPHER-ASTLEY, Lee Ann - 35, Halifax, passed away following a brief illness in Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by her loving family on May 10, 2008. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Joanne (Drake) Smith and stepfather Robert Smith. Lee Ann will be remembered fondly by family and friends for her great love of animals, her sense of humour and kind spirit. She is survived by her loving and treasured daughter, Jessica Christopher, Halifax; her mother, Joanne; her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Frances Drake, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Christopher, and her paternal grandparents. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, May 15, at 2 p.m. with Chaplains Chris Coffin and Wilma Janzen as celebrating clergy.
