Obituary of Harvey Allen Chase

Age 87, Herring Cove, passed away March 5, 2018 in the Camphill Veterans Building. Born in Blytheswood Ont., he was a son of the late Russell and Eliza (Smith) Chase.

Allen served in the RCN for 28 years, including 14 years in submarines and served 10 years as a deputy sheriff. Al and his wife Peggy loved to travel and spent time in various Caribbean Islands, five winters in Florida and their outings to the Casino. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit snaring in Herring Cove. He is survived by  children, Heather, Cinda and David; granddaughter Michelle Pelham; grandson Christian Pelham; great grandson Austin and Ryder; sisters Louise Reid and Dorothy Matthews. He was predeceased by his wife Peggy; son, Danny; brother, Delbert; sister Joyce and stepsons, Larry and Kevin Pelham.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. Graveside service will be held Friday April 20^th 11am in St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Cemetery Herring Cove. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
