Obituary of Susan Mary Murphy

Age 78, Herring Cove, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 17, 2017, surrounded by family, at Maplestone Enhanced Care. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Bowers) McNeil. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Raymond; children, Paula Doncaster (Ken), Huntsville, Ont.; Heather, Pictou; Dawn and Scott (Shelley); Dawn, both of Hatchet Lake; grandchildren, Benjamin, Logan, Molly and Anna. She was predeceased by brothers, Bill and Ron McNeil. Family and friends meant the world to Susan and her obvious love of life touched everyone who met her. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday October 10 at 10a.m. from St. Michael’s Church St. Michael’s Ave. Spryfield, Father Alfred Eshun as celebrant. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment to take place at a later date. Donations in memory of may be made to the Alzhiemers Society of Nova Scotia or charity of one’s choice. The family would like to thank the staff of Maplestone for their care given to Susan during her end of life.
