Obituary of A. Gale Hammond

Alberta Gale Hammond– 67, Spryfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the QEII Halifax Infirmary on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Audrey (May) and William G. Murphy. Gale is survived by her husband, Cyril J.; son, Edwin (Laura); daughter, Tina (Billy Johnston); grandchildren, Sara, Kyle, Baillie, Nicolas and great grandson, Kasin; brothers, Larry (Joan), Guy (Bev), Clay, Brent (Krystal), Todd (Nanette), Shannon (Lisa) and William (Heather) Murphy; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Ernie; sister, Rosanne; nephew, Corey Murphy. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, where a Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 3 at 1PM followed by a reception. Donations in Gale’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
