Obituary of Stanley V. Lake

73, of Harriestfield, died peacefully at the VG Site, QEII in Halifax, on February 26, 2017, surrounded by his family. Born in Murray Corner, N.B., he was a son of the late John and Jean Lake. Stanley was actively involved in St. Paul’s United Church, and was Project Superintendent with Dexter Construction prior to his retirement. He will forever be missed by his loving wife, Karen; his sons, Bruce (Dana), Scott (Jen), Jason (Holly), and his four grandchildren, Zachary, Cailin, Emersyn, and Brody. He is also survived by his brothers, Winston (Margie) and Wallace (Meredith), of Murray Corner N.B., along with many other extended family members. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stanley’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s United Church, Spryfield or to a charity of the donor's choice.
