I send my dearest condolences to all the family.
I've always thought of Jackie being what we call in french une « belle personne ». Some of my first memories of visiting Nova Scotia and the neighborhood when I was the ”strange kid” with the ”strange" accent was to feel welcomed by her and her family. I became quite close with her son and I still remember some of the good food he would share us all. Jackie, with her presence, her smile, her ”force tranquille” made me feel at home instantly.
I thank you for all the happiness you've created around your house, your street and all the surroundings of our community.
Peace be with you Jackie and all our love to the family.
Helgi, Émy and Lili

I want to extend my condolences to the MacEachen Family, Jackie was a special person from the first day I met her to the last time at a BC Silver reunion. I never knew about all her achievements but I expected she would leave her touch on everyone she met.
The World and especially Nova Scotia has lost a wonderful, caring woman of the highest order. Words can not replace your pain but allows us to share this great loss.

I am so sad to hear of Jackie’s passing but I know that she is at peace. She is now with the angels, she was herself an angel on this earth. I went through the school years with her and then we went our different ways in life. I live in the Netherlands and when I would go to Halifax the last number of years, I would call her and she’d come pick me up and take me to her home and we would go to her home for a lovely lunch with her hubby Isaac. I so enjoyed those visits as we sat to reminisce over earlier years. She was such a kind and gentle person and although they say nobody is perfect, while being in her presence one felt as if she was, such a kind and caring person.
She was so proud of her family and she told me excitedly that her daughter and daughter-in-law were both expecting in the very near future. I am so happy for her that she, even if only for a short period of time, got to enjoy having them around her.
I am so blessed to have known her and as I think back over the years, cherish the time I had shared with her.

So sorry to hear of Jackie's passing. I grew up with Jackie living just a few houses away. I was always a welcomed friend at her family home as she was at my home. Along with our other friend, Ann Paul, we were all very close. The last time I saw Jackie was at our B C Silver Reunion just before covid. I remember telling Jackie then that she took the prize for looking the most like she did at school. Jackie was a beautiful lady inside and out. It was very apparent that her family meant everything to her. She will be dearly missed.
