Obituary of Angus C. Saccary
74, Halifax, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Lantz Siding, he was a son of the late John and Kathleen (Parks) Saccary.
Angus made a living as a Painter and for a time operated his own Painting and General Contracting company. He enjoyed his grandchildren and talked about their accomplishments to anyone. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was fishing or going for a drive with his friends and listening to the old country music.
Angus is survived by his son, John Saccary (Shannon Solnicka); daughter, Elizabeth Saccary (Kyle Slaunwhite); 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sisters, June Byng and Marge Smith (Fred); brother, Donald Saccary (Theresa); many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his partner, Rosemary Crowell; brother, John Saccary; nephew, Michael Saccary.
Thank you to all of the staff at the QEII on 6.2 for everything and for the kindness they displayed while dad was there. A heart felt thank you to Tom, Janet, Fred and Basil for watching out and being there for Dad when he needed anything.
Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Angus’ wishes there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of his life will be held at the Lions Head Tavern on March 9, 2017 from 7-9 pm.
