Obituary of Donna Marie Douglas

DOUGLAS, Donna Marie (formerly Parris)- Age 59 of Halifax, Born with the name April Marie LeHuray. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Feltmate) Douglas.

My cancer has gotten the better of me, and now I am on the other side. Please don’t be sad for me, I am at peace now.  Yet you can help my family now, for they do not have peace at this time. But it will come as time heals all. Don’t ever forget, xoxo. 

She leaves behind her loving children, Amanda “Meana” Parris, Madonna “Babe” Parris, Gerald “Little Man” Parris, Alexandra “Cookie” Parris, and Faithy “Lovely” Borden-Douglas; grandchildren, Tyanne, Annez, Zoe, and Tia; Her two very special grandchildren, Sadie “Little Lady” Chernecki and Abigail “Abby Dabby” Prosser; brother, Gary (Marina) Douglas and family; sister, Lynn (Melcom) Morse and family; ex-husband, Gerry (Cindy) Parris.

Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax.  In keeping with Donna’s wishes, there will be a visitation at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 12 p.m. -2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Donna’s name to Bideawhile, Fly with Me Animal Rescue or you can bring a new toy to her memorial for the toy drive we are doing in her honor for Q104 and the Fire Fighters of Nova Scotia.
