Obituary of Annette Nora Raftus

RAFTUS, Annette “Cookie” Nora- Age 83 of Halifax, It is with a broken heart that we announce our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Annette “Cookie” Raftus passed away in her sleep, she is no longer in any pain.

Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Briand) Grady. Cookie enjoyed summers spent in L’Ardoise with her parents and family. She will be remembered as a strong, kind, loving, giving, and selfless person. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Annette is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Kenny) Allen and Denine Richard; sister, Jean; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren; great-grandchildren. Annette was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Donny Raftus; infant son, Allen; son, Tony; grandchild, Matthew; brother, Ronnie.

Arrangement and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. In keeping with Annette’s wishes, there will be no visitation or Funeral Service. Annette will join her husband and together they will rest in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
