I have known John since elementary school in Victoria BC. I know how close he was to his Dad. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. Remember all the good times, because I know there were many.

Why we meet the people we do…….
In my life, the people I meet may or may not have a purpose for stopping by. Like a patchwork quilt, some leave with you a piece that is bigger than you wanted and others smaller than you thought you needed. Some are that annoying itchy square in the corner, and others that piece of worn flannel. You leave pieces with some and they leave their pieces with you.
All the while each and every square makes up a part of what is you. Be okay with the squares people leave you for they have a purpose, a reason or a season. For life is too short to expect from people what they do not have to give, or were not called to give.
Len, thank you for the large piece of quilt you have given me. I will cherish it forever. ❤️

Thank you Alice he loved you as his sister. I’m so happy you received the large piece of quilt. He was looking forward to seeing you and another visit to the island.
Unfortunately it was not to be. He was tired, so God took him home. I’m just reading and learning how many lives he did touch. He’s resting in the arms of Jesus and smiling down on us. We had some good times together and thank you for hooking us up fifty four years ago.xoxo

Dear Joanne and Family: We are so saddened by Len’s sudden passing. He was a friend who was always there to give support.
We thank him for his many years of naval military service. We will miss our golf and fishing outings.
Sail on sailor. Love Jim and Nancy

Jim and Nancy thank you. He enjoyed helping when he could. He was a part of our lives for many years. Yes, a loyal friend and support, especially in times of need. He was a part of our lives for many years. I recall the first time we babysat Shawn for you and Nancy. I sat watching how they played together. It was then and there I knew he would be/make a good father. It was something in me that spoke. He definitely was a wonderful father, husband, grandpa and friend, he’ll be dearly missed.xo

Len was a great shipmate and will be missed! Enjoyed many a day golfing, especially during our trip from Halifax thru Panama to Victoria back in 1994.

Mike I remember that trip well. I came to Halifax because my parents lived here. He stayed in Halifax, and I flew to see him and them at the same time.It was good as the military paid for my flight. :) He still has a poem that you gave him hanging in his man cave. He loved golfing with his shipmates. He’ll be missed.

Len was such an amazing person. I fondly remember our time together as Commissionaires at the hospitals and headquarters. I was shocked when I heard of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Joanne and family.

My deepest condolences to Len's family & friends, he was a great guy who always had time for thoses who knew him. Ass a fellow electrician Len was my career manager the first time I met him and from that day for he never forgot me, which I found amazing as he dealt with hundreds of people as Career manager. A nice man to sit and chat with, Len will always be a pleasant memory I look forward to having. Rest in Peace my friend you have touched many individuals.

Rest in Peace, Len! I was too little to remember much about all the cousins many years ago, but I do know that you were a good "Words With Friends" opponent, and very nice when I messaged you asking a question about family... I will miss you!
My heartfelt condolences to Joanne and your children and grandchildren for the loss of your beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He will always be with you, watching over you... just out of sight, in the next realm.

Dear Len,
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how much you mean to me. You are truly the greatest father-in-law anyone could ask for. Your generosity, time, and genuine interest in our lives have made such a difference, and I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for us.
Watching you with the kids has been a true gift. You've taught us so many valuable lessons, set us off on countless adventures, and your generosity has never gone unnoticed.
I love you, buddy, save me a seat in your boat, we still have plenty of fish out there with our names on them!
With all my love and appreciation,
JWS

Your words of love are kindly appreciated. He loved you like his own JWS and was so very proud of you and all of your accomplishments. He also enjoyed his time on the water fishing with you. I had no idea how much he loved you until he spoke to me about it while driving back home in July.
He loved Kenna, Broden and Dillen to the max.
Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten. He will be remembered with much love and appreciation. I thank you Johnny Blues.
I/we love you too.
Joanne
