Shirley was born June 16, 1938, in Clifton Newfoundland. She moved to Nova Scotia in 1954 where she built a wonderful life for herself. Shirley worked with Clover Foods for twenty-five years, where she worked in the packing room preparing orders to be shipped all through the Maritimes. In her spare time, you could find her working in the wood pile, cutting, splitting, and piling wood. She enjoyed
fishing, hiking, setting snares, and long drives. On cold or rainy days, you could find her sewing, knitting, or doing crafts. But her favorite thing of all was spending time with family, whether it was going on vacation to Newfoundland, playing snakes and ladders, or just having a delicious family meal together. She loved a good feed of salt cod and pork scraps, corned beef and cabbage, and country chicken. Shirley was loved by all who knew her, she will be deeply missed.
