Oh the memories we have of Sylvia are too many to count! From the time we first became neighbours, Sylvia has been a treasure. The many visits to their back yard down by the water when my kids were small, watermelon treats, swinging on their swing. Seeing Sylvia and Chris walking up the road and stopping by to say hi. Sylvia was always kind; you never heard a negative word about anyone from her. We were saddened to hear of her passing. Our heartfelt condolences to the family. Much love to you all.

I am saddened to read of Sylvia’s passing. I worked with Sylvia at the Grace Maternity & the IWK. Sylvia was a competent, caring & skilled nurse. Ever ready to lend a hand she was quick to assist anyone needing a second person. These same attributes she carried forward into her ward clerking days. I carry her positivity & joyous spirit in my heart. She was a joy to work with. Her obituary picture is exactly how she was & how I remember her. Deepest sympathy for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear of Sylvia’s passing, Chris. My daughter, Mary-Jane Martin went to school with your son Blake. We are also Moody Park neighbours. Sylvia always had a beautiful smile, and a warm greeting, when we met one another. May you be provided with strength to move forward. Sincerely, Donna Martin

Dear Chris, Laura and Blake,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Sylvia's passing! I have many, many hours working with Sylvia when she was a ward clerk on the birth unit at the IWK. She was such a lovely woman. Hard working, kind, caring, reliable. Never said a bad word about anyone. You knew if she was working, the shift was going to go ok as she was such a team player. She was very proud of, and loved her family deeply and spoke of you all often. I am so very sorry for your loss! Sending love and prayers to you all. Barbara Whynot RN (colleague)
