Obituary of John V. Roache

Age 63, Spryfield, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 5th, 2017. Born in Middleton NS, he was a son of the late Harvey and Sylvia (Slade) Roache. John spent 5 years in the Navy, followed by over 30 years working in various positions with DND until his retirement in 2013. He was a man of deep faith in God and quietly helped many people over the years. He will be greatly missed by his family and his best friend, Brenda Gibson, who was extremely supportive over the last few years. John is survived by his wife, Mildred, Halifax; his brother, Michael (Debra), New Minas; his sister, Fay MacNeil (James), Williamswood; his niece, Nicole MacNeil, and nephew, Christopher MacNeil, both of Halifax. He is also survived by his best friend, Brenda Gibson, Halifax. He was predeceased by his sister, Darlene Leslie. Special thanks to the staff of the ER and 6A VG for your compassionate care. In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
