Obituary of Loretta Fourgere

Loretta Mary Fougere (Mahoney)

April 27, 1942 - March 11, 2024

It is with profound sadness, that we the family announce the passing of Loretta Mary (Mahoney) Fougere at the QEII in Halifax on March 11, 2024.

Predeceased by her parents, Margerite and David Mahoney, and sister, Sarah.

In Loretta’s younger years she was in the Air Force.

Loretta is survived by her husband Bernard Joseph Fougere; brothers, Phil, Halifax, Raymond, Newfoundland, David, Newfoundland, James, Ontario; sisters, Corina, Newfoundland, Margerite, Ontario; children, John (Natalie) Ottawa, Gary, Ottawa, Brenda (Robert), Timberlea, David (Linda), Ottawa, Brian (Val), Halifax and Gregory, Ottawa; grandchildren, Micheal, Steven, Jason, Sarah, Jessica, Brendan, Robyn and Aylssa; great-grandchild, Lyla and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the palliative care she received there. To Dr. Burton and Dr. Crosby and all the nursing staff on 8.4 unit in the QEII Hospital.

The family of Mrs. Fougere will have a mass and celebration of life to following at a further date.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and faithful friend, Goodbye for now.
