Obituary of Jean Helen Gillis

Jeannie,

You suffered so much. It was lifelong, but you fought through it and didn’t give up. You were so strong.

I felt so helpless when I saw your pain and all that I could do was hold your hand and feel ashamed. You never gave up, you didn’t complain and I loved you, and that love remains.

We loved each other and we were happy. Then lo and behold, three beautiful gifts came into our life that were to be ours to love, cherish, and hold. Our sons, Stephen and Jason, and our daughter, Shelly. We became a family. Through the years nothing could stop you.

Our family has grown and we’ve been forever blessed as we now stand at 11. We’ve gained Jill, Nicole, and Mike, and added to them are our life’s biggest treasures - grandchildren. Luke, Ava, and Jack are forever ours!

You are now without pain and in a place where you shall be forever happy. Wait for me and meet me at the gate - I’ll be looking for you, so don’t make me wait.

Yours forever and always,

Jack

Jeannie also leaves behind her three sisters; Irene Sampson, Linda Garrison, and Carol Rogers, and her brother, Wayne Nowe.

A Catholic church service is scheduled for Noon, January 9th, 2024 at Stella Maris Parish, 6 St. Michaels Ave, Halifax.
