Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Lorne Dempsey. I worked with Lorne Dempsey at Birks Jewellers and was hired by him in 2005. Lorne was a great manager and had lots of talents. It was great at storytelling and we always had lots of laughs. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him.
May the sorrow you feel in your hearts lighten by the love that surrounds you all during this difficult time. Know that you will always have the wonderful memories to cherish and comfort you.
God's love and many prayers are all around you - now and for as long as it *takes.

Dempsey Family: I am so saddened to just learn of Lorne's passing on Dec 13th. Lorne and I worked together at DNR, and formed a wonderful friendship over the years, and we remained in touch even after our retirements, meeting for lunch a few times a year. He was an amazing man, an unbelievable baker, kind, generous, and most of all a fun person to be around. We shared many laughs over the years. I am so sorry I didn't know about his passing until now. Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of such a wonderful human being. ....Sincerely, Barb Conrad

I first met Lorne at work, we both were employed at Natural Resources. Lorne was a great help sorting out our computer program issues. We have been neighbours for many years and marvel at his gardens. Many condolences to his family.

My deepest condolences to your family. I had the pleasure to be on the hospitality team with Lorne at Stella Maris Parish and so enjoyed serving with him. He had a great sense of humour, was commitment to the parish, and he always kept an eye out for what needed to be done or who might need help. I’m so sorry for your loss, Lorne will be missed.

One of Lorne's greatest skill was keeping Phil alive from age 10 to 25. Phil would get into trouble and Lorne somehow got him out of it. Nobody in our age group loved Lorne more than Phil. To Lorne's family, so sorry for your loss.

We are so very sorry to hear of Lorne's passing. He was such a nice man. He was so lovely and helpful to everyone. His grandmother, Dora, was my great aunt and my mother and I visited her on occasion and Lorne was so lovely and attentive to her. He also gave me his mother's carrot cake recipe when I followed her home from church one Sunday to ask her for the recipe. I had won one of her carrot cakes at a dance at the hall and just had to get the recipe. While chatting with your mother, Lorne went to the kitchen and copied down the recipe for me. I always thought that was so sweet and I swear I have made that cake hundreds of times over the last forty years and now my daughter makes it often too. Our sincere condolences for your loss.
