Obituary of Isobel Jane Buck

Isobel Jane Buck, 85, of Halifax, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in the Q.E.II, V.G. Site, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Grimsby, Ontario she was a daughter of the late Orlo and Olive (Bell) Lymburner.

Isobel worked at Grimsby Gas Company for many years, working outside and traveling to neighbouring towns in all weather conditions. She was the first female meter reader in Ontario in 1965. She enjoyed bowling in her recreational team where she won many awards, and loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays play, she had enjoyed many games in the stadium. 

Her greatest love was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Koidl; granddaughters, Kirsten Koidl and Mackenzie Koidl; brother, Avery Lymburner; sister, Carol Stock, and other family members. Isobel was predeceased by her husband George Buck, brother, Melvin Lymburner; sister, Lois Lusk; and her beloved aunt, Laura Killins.

Isobel will be remembered for her unmistakable kind heart, her love of birds, automobiles, and her attitude and style. 

May the good lord take a liking to her.

There will be no visitation or service by her request.
