Obituary of Hilda Ann Schnare

SCHNARE, Hilda Margaret (Probert)
It is with great sadness that we, the family of Hilda, announce her passing on October 12, 2023, at the age of 69.

She was born in Halifax on January 18, 1954, to the late Charles and Eileen (Roma) Probert.
Hilda worked at Zellers, then Sears, then as a lunch monitor. Then she stayed home to look after her family, which she loved so much. One of her favorite places to go with her family was Lake Charlotte. She enjoyed all the occasions, especially Christmas. Those closest to her enjoyed her special rendition of Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary. She was such a kind and loving person who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen; son, Brian (Melanie Marriott); daughter,
Jennifer; grandchildren, Austin, Evan, Mitchell, and Janessa; sisters, CarolAnn (Michael) Cook, Eileen (Harold) Pelham, Sharon Doucette, and brothers, William (MaryAnn) Probert, Charlie(Holly) Probert; mother-in-law, Shirley Schnare; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Brian) Grandy and Wendy Schnare, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, her grandchild Logan; brothers, James, and Arthur; baby sister, Deborah Probert; father-in-law, Douglas Schnare; brothers-in-law, Brian and Gerald Schnare and Joseph Doucette.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. A burial will take place at a later date.
