"Grayson – An Angel from God"
A tear drops and then some more
Until a flood of them hit the floor
The pain in our hearts is forever aching
The wonder of death is painstaking
The first question we ask is why God why?
This perfect little boy had to die?
Did you take him to this heaven of yours?
Did his time on earth close the doors?
Let’s wait for the science to tell us more
Then we can wrap our heads around the score
It doesn’t seem fair when it happens to us
And then we cry, blame others and make a fuss
Grayson, a baby who lived a short time
Brought joy and love to this family of mine
A miracle shared briefly with us all
Then suddenly the darkness of death did call
We can’t imagine the pain of loss
The ache in our hearts, our heads, the cost
Take one day at a time to find your way
Stay on the path and don’t go astray
One thing I’ve learned of life throughout time
There are valleys and hills and mountains to climb
The road is not easy and it can take its toll
I wonder and think, “am I in a hell hole?”
But there is hope and faith we hang on to forever
We will see our Grayson again and be together
He is now with Hillary, Aunt Lannie and Uncle Donnie
Our family in heaven has greeted him fondly
We will see them all again some day
And this to God I do pray
As we journey through life and stumble along
We too will hear God’s faithful love song
Rest in peace and rise in glory
For this is Grayson’s short love story
