Obituary of Paulette Diane MacDonald

Paulette “Sissy” Diane (Slaunwhite) MacDonald, 80, of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Paulette at home on Saturday, May 20^th, 2023. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late George and Violet (Kidney) Slaunwhite.

Sissy liked gambling and buying scratch tickets, hoping to win the big one and share it with her family. She loved to watch he old classic movies. What made her smile most was spending time with her great-grandson, Logan. She loved Mr. Kijiji. During her working years, she was a personal care worker at Fairview Villa.

Sissy is survived by her children, Dolly (Ivan) Lefort, Tina (Albert) Dickson, Kevin (Sandy) McCulloch, George (Paula) MacDonald, Paula MacDonald (Mark Deveau); grandchildren, Michael (Sherlyn), Stephen (Jan), Stephen, Kaitlyn, Meagan (Nolan), Morgan (Tim), Ryan, and Matthew; step-grandchildren, Jenilee, and Ian; great-grandchildren, Jack, Lily, and her sweetie pie, Logan, who called her Meme of whom she loved and spoiled profoundly and he loved his Meme; brother, George (Marsha) Slaunwhite; and nephews, George, and Michael.

Sissy was predeceased by her first husband, John McCulloch; second husband, Michael “Mickey” MacDonald; brothers, Lester, and James in infancy.

Cremation has taken place under the care of the J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS, B3P 1K6.

Burial will be held at a later date.
