Obituary of Maureen Publicover

PUBLICOVER, Maureen- Age 97 of Halifax, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Maureen Publicover on April 1, 2023, at Melville Gardens.  Born in West Dover, she was a daughter of the late Basil and Bertha (Morash) Zink.  Maureen is survived by many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; stepsisters, Rhoda, and Marion; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her loving husband, Weldon Publicover; son, Earl (Mabel); sister, Thelma McKinnon; stepbrothers, Kenny, Keith, David and Lionel. 

Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax.  In keeping with Maureen’s wishes there will be no visitation.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Chapel one Tuesday April 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. A burial will follow at West Dover Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to West Dover Cemetery in memory or Maureen.  The family would thank Northwood Home Care and their staff and Melville Gardens and staff for there are and compassion while Maureen was in their care.  To place online condolences, please visit www.walkerfh.com.
