Obituary of Carole Haywood

Carole Joan (Torrey) Haywood of Herring Cove

It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Carole Haywood. She passed away surrounded by family and friends, at the VG Hospital, on March 23, 2023. Mom was born in Port Shoreham, Guysborough Co; N.S. She was the daughter of the late Osborne and Adelaide (Simpson) Torrey.

Surviving are her five children, Wade Ronald Haywood and wife Betty (Livingston) Haywood, Heather Charlene Coles (Haywood), Mark Edward Haywood, Denine Leeanne (Haywood) Embree wife of Wilson Embree, Natasha Lynn Haywood wife of Jason Pickles; grandchildren, Todd Haywood, Amanda Haywood, Chantel Doucet (Coles) and husband Ryan, Kyle Coles, Britania McNeil spouse to Jesse Alstrup, Austin McNeil, Shane Harnish, Hunter Haywood-Pickles, and Jacob Haywood-Pickles; great grandchildren, Dylan and Kayla Lerette, Kaiden and Melah Hoffer-Haywood, Ambrose McNeil, Oliver Alstrup and Annika Alstrup, Kennedy, Cabot, Barrett Doucet.

Mom had a smile that could light up a room and a caring heart that made each person she knew feel special. She was very vivacious and outgoing; she had an engaging personality and there was always laughs to be had when you were around her.

Words can’t express just how much she will be missed.

In keeping with Carole’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
