I just heard the news of Wanda's passing. How very sad!!. So many wonderful memories of spending time with her and our fellow classmates at St. Joseph's Hospital School Of Nursing. Our paths had not crossed in recent years but she was often in my thoughts. Mary (Hansen) Chisholm

Dear Tracy and Kori
Our condolences to you and your family. You will always miss your Mum but will be comforted by your memories of happy times with her.
When reading your mother's obituary many happy memories came to mind. In Ottawa our families shared many a weekend BBQ- all the little kids cooling off in the little blow up pool. Sometimes the dad's joined in too!. We waved you off as your family headed off to live in NB. We visited you in Nackawic and I can still hear your mother singing "Grandma's feather bed" & we all joined in on the chorus - such happy times.another time your family visited us at our cottage in PARRSBORO. Your mother created a beautiful macrame wall hanging made with shells, pebbles, dried seaweed and other treasures we found on our beach walk. Another of her creative talents was soapstone carving. She did a beautiful one our Nancy . Wanda was such a multitalented creative woman who was full of love, laughter and imagination.
The years have passed but we still remember all the happy times the Gormams and Greenhams shared. We are thinking of you and send our love.

Dear Tracey and Kori and all of Wanda's family: It makes me sad to write this, I've known Wanda, Carole(used to be my neighbour) and Jeannette for many years. Wanda was such a friendly vibrant person and was a wonderful friend and neighbour to my son Vaughn. Her struggles are over and may she rest easy. You guys have had a hard time with loss the past few months, love and hugs to you all. Love Barb(Morrison) Egan

Wanda was a person who was comfortable with herself and enjoyed her own company but when I think back to all the big and smaller moments, she was always there. A second mother growing up- quite interchangeable with her sister Carole as the families spent a lot of time together when we were kids... and having a nurse in the family was great! I've called her many times to get advise. She even drove down to the cottage when Aengus was sick (diagnosis; sunstroke). From the birthdays and weddings to the dinner parties and bonfires. She always made the effort:) I remember her showing up in Halifax for a Halloween/ birthday party (dressed up of course) and what would Easter be without the Polish women bringing food and good cheer? I also have video of her step dancing at our wedding....
I thought we'd have a bit more time.I will miss her so much.
Love
Janice

My earliest memory of Wanda was in 1962 when we entered St.Joseph’s School of Nursing in Saint John N.B. We soon began to form alliances that would last for those three years. Wanda’s straightforward ways were just what we needed to get through being away from home. Her good sense of humour, singing, knowing how to have fun and her strong Celtic spirit were all appreciated. As we all spread to far flung places for work, marriages, we have good memories of having spent those early years finding ourselves among great spirited women like Wanda. I will be forever grateful how we were all gathered at that time. That photo of her by the sea captures the essence of her beautiful spirit.
My condolences to the family.

My fondest memories of Wanda often involved singing. She loved to sing and I have an image in my mind of her and her sisters singing in 3 or even 4 part harmonies in Wanda’s living room. It was joyous to behold ! On a visit to Tracy and I years ago, I recorded her and Tracy singing together. Lovely.
Wanda was a great mother-in-law and she always made me feel comfortable in her home on many visits we have made over the years to Cape Breton.
I will miss her dearly.

Dear Eleanor, Bonnie, Jeannette and families,
It was with great sadness that I heard of Wanda's sudden passing. Wanda was always such an upbeat and friendly lady. I loved our family get-togethers
at her sister Carol's, or Jeannette and Gary's home in Goose Cove, St. Ann's Cape Breton. Wherever she was,... there were always a lot of great memories to follow. She will be sorely missed. Wanda's family are in my thoughts and prayers at this sorrowful time.
Love and Prayers,
Arlene MacDonald (cousin)
